Illegal Dumping and Incineration Sites
Documentation of illegal dumping and incineration sites of imported and local plastic waste in Adana City/TurkeyProject Objective: In this project, the areas where illegal plastic waste dumping and incineration activities are carried out due to plastic waste trade or deficiencies in the infrastructure of waste management in Adana are determined. The data obtained through this study are simultaneously shared with the public via an interactive map. The most important goal of this project is to help decision-makers and citizens understand the environmental risks arising from plastics’ widespread use. In this way, it is planned to contribute to the increase of awareness regarding reducing plastic usage. You can also contribute to the study by uploading the location information and photos of the illegal plastic waste dump and incineration areas you see in Adana City.
