Mıcroplastıc Research Group

The Microplastics Research Group, established in 2016 by Dr. Sedat Gündoğdu and Dr. Cem Çevik, is dedicated to investigating microplastic pollution in Turkish lakes and seas. Its primary objective is to uncover the present status of plastic pollution in marine and freshwater ecosystems, assess its impact on organisms, and furnish decision-makers with data based on sound science. The group also conducts social awareness projects based on the research findings.
